MacRefresh started in 2023 on a workbench in Tampa. What began as flipping a few laptops on eBay after work turned into hundreds of devices sold on eBay, a loyal base of repeat buyers, and a small warehouse full of the tools we needed to do it right.
Why we started
A great Mac shouldn't cost $2,500 to get into. And a 3-year-old MacBook shouldn't be worth $200 to a trade-in kiosk. There's a huge gap between what Apple charges new and what the big buyback programs pay — that gap is where MacRefresh lives.
How we test
Every device is factory reset, updated to the latest OS, and put through a 32-point diagnostic: battery health under load, port function, camera, mic, speakers, thermals, and cosmetic grading in a light box. If it doesn't pass, we part it out — it doesn't get sold.
